Rabbit Rampage is a 1955 Bugs Bunny Warner Bros. animated cartoon, directed by Chuck Jones which was originally released on June 11, 1955. It is a spiritual successor to Duck Amuck, in which Daffy Duck was teased by an off-screen animator, revealed at the end to be Bugs Bunny. In Rabbit Rampage, Bugs is similarly teased by another off-screen animator who is revealed at the end to be Elmer Fudd. Directed by Chuck Jones. Produced by Edward Selzer. Story by Michael Maltese. == Bugs Bunny == Brother. What a Leonardo da Punchy. What a Too-Lousy Lautrec. What's the first thing on the agend... [notices the animator has drawn a huge hat on him] You know I'm not supposed to wear a hat! [the horse is erased, and Bugs is redrawn in an abstract style with big cheeks and huge feet] All right, okay. That's better. [looking down at himself] Holy codfish, look at my feet! Hmph! Continue to draw me like this, buddy, and we'll both be outta work! [Bugs' head is erased, and when he demands it be drawn back, the animator paints a pumpkin head on him] Okay, buddy, you've had your fun. Now what about a rabbit's head? [the animator just draws rabbit ears on him] Alright, you comic book Rembrandt, make with the eraser! == Dialogue == Bugs Bunny: [notices his ears are missing] Ears! [The animator draws on a pair of human ears; Bugs feels the lobes with his finger] Bugs Bunny: Not human ears, my friend - rabbit ears. Long ones. [The animator erases the human ears and draws on long rabbit ears that trail along the ground] Bugs Bunny: Don't be so dang literal![last lines.] Bugs Bunny: Well, okay. But there's still one way out, and you can't stop me! [Bugs pulls out a "The End" title card. This short was inspired by Duck Amuck. As it turns out, that the animator tormenting Bugs throughout the cartoon was Elmer Fudd, the whole time] Elmer Fudd: Well, anyway, I finally got even with that scwewy wabbit! == Voice cast == Mel Blanc as Bugs Bunny. Arthur Q. Bryan as Elmer Fudd. (uncredited) == External links ==
