The first meter was installed in 1950.
All franks are inscribed “VENEZUELA”.
Most stamps show a License number (L#) rather than a Meter number (M#).
The stamps are grouped according to appearance and function as follows:A - Commercial use designs, inscribed “CORREOS”
B - Commercial use designs, inscribed “IPOSTEL”
OO - Official government use


== GROUP A: Stamps for private and commercial use, inscribed “CORREOS” ==

A1. Pitney Bowes “R”  (MV), 1950.

Horizontal design incorporating TM.
Inscribed “EEUU DE VENEZUELA/ CORREOS” across top.
Horse design between TM and value box.
L# with “LIC.—“ prefix and “-P.B.” suffix.

Similar to Type A3 but country inscription starts right of the town mark and extends beyond the right side of the value box.

Similar to Type A4 but “CORREOS” is below the value box, and the date and value figures are on the same level.

Frank with single, simulated perforation border line.
Country name in curved panel at top. “CORREOS” in panel at bottom with “BOLIVARES” and M# above.

A7. Francotyp “Cc/Ccm”  (MV). 

Upright frank with simulated perforation outer border and straight-line inner border.
“BOLIVARES” above “CORREOS” in scroll at bottom.
Meter model “FRANCOTYP CCM” above L# with “SERIAL” prefix below TM.

Upright frank with double, straight-line frame.
Country name in scroll at top.
Ornamental design above value figures.

Small upright frank with double straight-line frame.
Identification number between town mark and frank.
Only two examples seen, both quite weak, from 1987 and 1996, identification numbers S/017 and [S?]043.
Presumably with "IPOSTEL" in the frank but possibly not.

As Type A10 but with "IPOSTEL" across bottom of frank.
Small "DE" between "REPUBLICA" and "VENEZUELA".
L# with “H” prefix below frank.

Similar to Type A5 but value box much deeper with “IPOSTEL” below.
Without “LIC”.

Similar to Type A5 but value box is wider, value figures are larger, and with “IPOSTEL” replacing “CORREOS”.

OO1. Universal “MultiValue”  (MV), 1943 or earlier. [$20]

Similar to Type A6 but with “E.E.U.U. DE / VENEZUELA” at top and with large “G.N.” in dotted letters above “CORREOS” at bottom.
Identification number with “U” prefix in small boxes in corners above “CORREOS”.

Similar to Type A2 but with “REP. DE VENEZUELA” across top.
Large “G.N.” below value box.
