Yes, we need to start sometime. All texts written in Hebrew, except for dictionaries, children's books, learner's books and other linguistic material are written without vowels. You will have to recognize and know how to pronounce a word just by looking at it. Don't be afraid, though, you'll be surprised to find out it is pretty easy.
